Communication is Key

Our experiences in the arena of telecommunications technology are considerable, including defensive opposition work before the EPO.

The technical expertise were garnered, initially, in the early 1990s with active involvement in fundamental cellular communication technologies for TACS and standards essential work on GSM portfolios, and then moved onto all fundamental aspects of CDMAA and UMTS/OFDM systems at Motorola. Our attorney’s experiences were further supplemented by roles as lead outside counsel for Nortel and work on conventional PSTN systems, satellite communication, xDSL and optical solutions.

The depth of these experiences ensures that we are always well-placed to deal with communications systems technologies, with this seeing the transfer to us of significant portfolios previously belonging to Nokia, Alcatel and Lucent.

Besides the above, we have worked on and secured significant rights in portfolios relating to user authentication in downloadable software, as well as cloud-based platforms designed for mobile network operators to aid in launching, managing, and monetizing the deployment of the Internet of Things “IoT” for enterprise businesses.
